Next Meeting is Monday, April 1st
As music therapy and healthcare continue to evolve in Idaho, so do the funding options. This short information session will focus on differences between various reimbursement and insurance options currently available to families, specifically aiming to clarify details involved in the rumored option of music therapy and mental health counseling. The presenter (Kerry Leavell, MA, LPC, MT-BC) requests that participants who have already encountered questions and confusion about this topic email their questions and experiences to her at kerry@musictherapyofidaho.com. She will consult these questions and points of confusion when preparing material to present.
Following that we will have a question and answers time for those questions about the Redesign. Richelle Tierney will lead this discussion.
Community Panel
We are looking for 15-20 parents of individuals with autism of all ages and adult individuals with autism to form an advisory panel. The purpose of the panel will be two-fold: (1) to advise Autism Society Treasure Valley on relevant issues affecting the autism community in the Treasure Valley and (2) participate in various activities and events that support the Autism Society Treasure Valley and/or the autism community in our community. The time commitment would be a 1 to 2 hour meeting once a quarter and email correspondence as needed. We are looking for individuals with fresh ideas who are passionate about improving the lives of individuals with autism in our community. As people affected by autism, we all know how far we’ve come but how much farther we have to go. The only way to facilitate change is to get involved!
